I am a North Dakota native, currently living in Mandan. As a child, exploring the badlands around Dickinson and Medora and playing in the woods at my Grandparents house south of Bismarck taught me to appreciate wildlife and their environment. As an adult, I have found great satisfaction in flower gardening and enjoying the birds that frequent my backyard. These experiences are what inspire me to paint. I like to take images of birds that frequent my backyard and place them in a very natural setting. Jennifer Matthews
